How to learn faster and better a language while you are abroad:

1) Avoid to talk in your mother tongue by evening🌃 and as soon as you wake up🌅 (my coordinator gave me this tip and it really worked out!)

2)Try to meet new people👭👬👫, text them and ask them out! Sometimes people will let you down, but the best way to improve your language skills is to practice it as much as you can!👄

3) Do NOT say No to any offer to go out even if it is to shop with your host family, it creates a good connection and it is a way to be introduced to new people in the village.

4)Do NOT be scared to make mistake, it is normal at the beginning, people understand it is not your first language and you are there also to learn it (Don't be hard on yourself👿)

5)Watch movies in language with the same language subtitles and when you find words you do not know the meaning find out the meaning by the same language, in this way your vocabulary will increase really fast! Netflix is a really good option to improve in a lazy way your skills also during winter nights!💅

6) Find a good book to read and underline with a pencil the words you do not know.

7)Be curious of NEW words!😎

8)Do NOT pretend to understand. If you did not, ask the person to further clarifications or to explain it slower and with other words😕! (People really appreciate it!)

9) Buy an address book and write there the new words you learnt👊 (it is an easy way to be tidy and find them easily when you need them)

DON'T GIVE UP!

(The improvement won't be seen in just a couple of days/weeks, but in the long run you will be fluent in that language if you keep trying👍)
